Was that with a p18 or p20 housing?

you can acheive over 300 with p15 housings, p18 housing no problems, p20 housing- too easy.

So are all the VF series interchangable? IE: I know you've got the 35/34 going but what about getting a VF35 Compressor and VF22 Exhaust housing together? That'd give me stockish spool with great gain to the top end without needing to get a different dump pipe etc etc?
EDIT: I should add my goal is to make 330-350whp and set-up for the track and odd WAW, but I don't want to lose point to point quickness

You can only mix and match Thrust Bearing (TB) with Thrust Bearing, and Ball Bearing (BB) with Ball Bearing.

So exhaust housings can only be changed within the VF's (BB)22/23/24/27/28/29/34/36/38/42

and seperately only within this group VF's (TB) 25/26/30/31/32/33/35/37/39/40/43.

I'm not sure what your asking, clarify please. ?

It starts getting complicated when you talk compressor housings and compressor wheels as they vary between VF's. Two compressor housing will be stamped the same but utilize different compressor wheels and different bearings as well.

machining required,

i have a p15 housing which definately fits on a vf34, it may be from a vf10/vf11 though

the front covers are directly interchangeable though

Yes we were just speculating that was the case.
Even better response than a VF34 but with the same compressor housing and wheel for top end performance. Which you have proven.

Everyone now scurries off to find VF10/11 (90-94 Subaru Legacy Turbo)

Just to throw a spanner in the works, i was told a VF34 could not be rebuilt. I was under the impression you can rebuilt any turbo :/ afterall they all have shafts, prop wheels, exhaust/intake sides and oil lines etc.

Thanks,

Eric
