I definitely get surge when i floor it in 4th while building up boost. Makes a funny little chchchch noise for a 2-3 seconds while it's spooling.
Doesn't appear to effect the onset of boost/torque though.

Thats a common problem pretty sure it happens to most of us with vf turbos.

Ive had a VF 22,23,34
34 was the only turbo that surged for me Might be a common problem by the sounds of it.

I think it's common when you have a silicone intake.

yeah im getting surge from the 34 too, brad. after all its yours
i thought it was coz i got it angle mounted and it had oil pressure issues giving too much load on the bearings. |

I don't think it's really a 'problem', it's just the turbo trying to flow more than the motor can ingest. I suspect you'd want some headwork and cams to prevent it?
