Having seen both the Ultrex and Kando headers, I would very much recommend the Ultrex ones.

Quality is spot on and the welds are very clean. They line up properly and for $599 I wouldn't be stuffing around waiting for parts from Jap land.

Empire headers....I have seen them, and the quality is what you pay for.

Ceramic coat if you have the cash to spend, and if you want to wrap them (especially UEL) pay someone to do it for you.

On the topic of ceramic coating, from what I have heard I think its around $250-300 for a set of headers.

i estimate that I achieved about a 15-20whp increase from the empire headers... (pre-leaking gasket) so don't really want to go back to factory now.

Lol, the car has gone back to Sean (who knows the whole story) with the new motor for a retune with the headers and unblocked cat... He's done his thing to add fuel and make it safe again. Changing from one aftermarket headers to another should not warrant another retune but rest assured I will be monitoring my afrs closely.. .

And when I get the ultrex headers it's going straight back to Sean for a retune since I'm doing the pump then too.

I have Ultrex UEL headers. They still stole a reasonable amount of rumble...

They (Ultrex/Kando) come from the same factory... SSI in Taiwan who also make Tomei.

In addition to the above, PSR (as mentioned in the OP) come from SSI. I've got some UEL on mine and has a good rumble to it (ceramic coating from purchase was a good investment imo)
