ID1000 vs ID1300
I've been looking around at both options and wanted to see what others tend to go for.
What's the HP limits of the ID1000s ? What's the HP limits of the ID1300's ? Price is noticeably different (double) actually. If I remember reading somewhere or being told 1000's won't make over 400awhp. E85 obviously.. Any advice appreciated.

Yeah I was in the same headspace as you in regard to 1000 vs 1300. Would be interesting to know the Duty Cycle on Ash's (baylee) EJ255 which just did 400hp on Mao's dyno on ID1000's via 22psi. Keeping in mind that he did not use traditional united pump 85 though, so the properties of the different fuel may have an effect on the d/c. Edit: Why can't we tag people on this forum version yet .. annoying.

+1 for this info! I think Sean originally said 1000s would make up to 400 and need larger there after, but I can't confirm this information it's been a while.

Powerplus E85 race fuel used.
ID1000's used for a duty cycle in the 80's at 22pound on hub dyno... So by all accounts, could have a bit more in the 1000's over 400hp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

On Mao's dyno. That's the problem when manufacturers rate on HP. At the wheels, at the hub, on what dyno, with what version software?
It should be a very rough estimate at best.

Is it harder to get a steady idle with bigger injectors?

The 1300's are the newer design that are meant to idle as well as stock. Just like when the id1000's came out. They are smoother than the old 850's.
I have seen 1000's max at 450whp. |

Anyway, here is a dyno comparison done very recently. We run a much newer Dynapack than most of the others in WA.
