Default Reflashing ECUs - EOI

Guys currently investigating a couple of new options for reflashing bug eye and newer ECUs basically in line with EcuTec style of tuning but at a more cost effective rate.
One option will be via a yet to be named workshop and AVO ex Melb, at this stage the equivalent to a Tek 3 ie full dyno tune and reflash could be around $1300 dollars.
2nd option I am still working on and will post up as details come to hand.

Talk to me

Steve will come over and set it all up if I can confirm 5 tunes.
2nd option is completely local all together, I am waiting for more info to come to hand before I go any further with this.
Would be nice to remove some of the monopoly from the reflashing market....

If AVO comes over for the initial setup/tune - who's going to be available for re-tunes, etc? Ideally you need a local tuner to takeover once AVO departs.

Yes there will be local tuner established here, Steve would assist in setting it all up with a local workshop.

Yeah... however lots of people wanting tunes ends up with Pete being busy spec. Needs to fit in with Speedworks' timetable as well.

If Steve flies over from east, put my name down.

You can get all the software etc for free.

The cable costs $150

and find a tuner who can do it for you takes out the monopoly.

The software is pretty easy to use

so even 5 hours on the Dyno @ $150 an hour is $750.

Its a very dangerious line to be skirting..

Its not as simple as just plug a number here and hope for the best.. you're buying insurance and exp from a tuner..

Also.. if you dont know what you're doing.. you'll find some nice big det and other melting bits very quickly

For me peace of mind goes a long away on a 30-60K car......
I personally do not mind paying a decent price as long as the tuner knows his shit and we are not being taken for a ride on software and development costs....
As I said, I am investigating a couple of options, but I need some confirmed numbers to get things moving.
