Question pops after installing BOV

Hey just a query. i installed my BOV today its a GFB hybrid, its all good and vents fine.

Theres just one thing now most times when i change gear or let off the thottle an extemely loud pop comes from the exhaust.

I used to try and achieve these pops previously but not it like everytime i change gear pedestrians are ducking for cover thinking its an explosion *slightly exagerrates*.

Nah but now honestly when i change gear it sometimes make loud pops.

is this normal, have i got a potential BAKKS flamethrower.

Thanks.

This is normal if it is an atmo bov.

It will richen the mixtures and pump more fuel in when not needed with stock ecu hence the backfire.

Get a ECU and tune and will fix most the problem but otherwise just live with it nothing to worry about good to scare ppl

Its your BOV that is causing the pops....its causing over-fuelling on gearchanges

You'll probably find that if you swap back to stock, the popping will stop, plus you'll gain more power, and use less fuel.

Alternatively, fit an ECU and the problem will stop

dont stress...easy fix... either get a tune with the aftermarket bov or put stock back in and not have to worry bout pops and tune or go emo and slash your tyres, either way will save you money

I dunno man ..

I've got a GFB Hybrid in 50/50 .. Took the trumpet off entirely.

Can only be heard when really going hard.
