is the apexi probe not very good ?
it hasnt gone over 701 hovers around the 650 on boost how would i best go about just getting checked? just get tuner to go over it and check all my settings. |

i'd say the apexi probe would be ok, but your checking exhaust temp, so realistically you should mount it pre-turbo, pre cat-converter as they do interfere with the consistency of the readings.
but yeah, optimal burn around 650 is the go if you can maintain it.

so with it being hotter days and nights it may be just normal ?
to be safe what should i ask to get checked just as a pre-Caution |

hotter air is going to affect your loadings, it just means your car has to work harder (generate more heat) to give you the same performance as it would on colder air.
what you have noticed is where air temp correction becomes an important part of tuning, ideally the exhaust temp should still be around 650.

if it were my tune, i'd be poking through it and correcting the air-temp compensation map,
but with ecutek your going to have a hard time replicating the circumstances or knowing which table to lookup with the tuner to get it corrected without logging all the registers in the ecu to a laptop and going through it all bit by bit. for the short term it wont be causing any serious damage, but its why closed-loop lambda operations on ECU's should be used more often. get it looked at for safetys sake, but you'll probably find a lot of tuner's would probably say its ok- just bear it in mind.

see your unichip tuner for a checkup, but i'd be cautious of what the unichip is doing with the stock ecu's management, the stock ecu still learns with an interceptor attached.
