fuckin hell, is there a genuine performance increase running an external gate? Or is it about good boost control?
Because if it's about good boost control, an ecu and quality 3-port solinoid can do the same job. Where is the performance increase? Isn't the external gate used to bleed "excess" exhaust gas in a manner that does not interfere with the exiting exhaust flow out the dump pipe? Is it this laminar flow of exhaust gas and precise boost control that gets the more hp? If it's about the sound then you have no right to ever sledge anyone running a BOV. :D I like external gates, just wondering when they really become a necessity. |

Results have generally shown that they do...Paticularly @ higher boost levels/cfm.. |
