VF series in most cases will flow enough through its internal wastegate, so adding an external one is a waste of time.

As tj said a VF series turbo will not flow enough for external gate to have gains!

Its good for scaring the shit out of pedestrians and unexpecting motorist with windows wound down.
The more boost ur run the louder they get aperently. im only running 6.5psi and its loud enough to get me a yellow so ill prob plum it when i can run more..
Also after alot of gating fumes tend to come into the cabin.
