dissapointed with superlows!!!!!!!
on monday got kings super lows on my MY00...expecting it to be slammed......WRONG.......honestly i'll be lucky if it went down an inch!!!
codes are right KSFL 22SL and KSRL 23SL Any other brand that definately makes it a bit lower???????? (springs, not coilovers or an oxy!!!) oh well see if it drops a bit more in the near future. The guy that installed said that after a month or so i can send the springs away to get reset...and this will make them lower. Anyone know what this process involves. Another thing....the ride is not much different, happy with this though!!!! Thanks john........................

If you want to go really really low, you need coilovers.
You can get Kings Ultra low springs...same part numbers, but SSL instead of SL. BUT, dont expect your shocks to last very long. If you wanna do this, you'll need a set of quality shocks i.e. Koni, but by the time you spend that money, you might as well buy a set of coilovers. The ride might be good with SLs, but it deteriorates dramatically if you go too much lower than that. Adz had Kings Ultra Lows and Koni's in his MY01, and it handled and rode very very nicely...but as I said, it has Koni's, and this helped a lot. Coilovers will be very uncomfortable also, unless you spend the dollars and get quality items. Last edited by BALISTC; 10-01-2007 at 09:10 AM. |

Over time they should get better.
My car has Kings Super Lows and seriously I think it's too low. The ride is terrible. Over time they will sag, mine are nearly 20mm shorter then when first installed. Not sure how long ago though. |

Yeah dont worry too much. You'll find that with new springs they take time to settle into position.
Take a measurement now from arch to ground and then do again in one month. I think you'll be quite surprised by the difference.

I put Kings S/L's into the MY02 STi before I sold it and it dropped standard height by 30-35mm immediately on standard STi dampers and the ride was OK.
The best measurement to take is centre of hub to guard arch. Ideally, the measurements should be NO LESS than 330mm rear and 345 - 350mm front (from memory). |

I had HSD Coilovers in my old wagon($1350 delivered) and they were excellent, with infinite height adjustment and 6? step dampening adjustment, they were really quite comfortable... not a big difference from the king springs i had installed previously... I would definitely buy another set if they made them for the B4!... Otherwise, Adz's car(now Tara's car) is definitely "Slammed" with Ultra low king springs and Koni adjustable's...
