high flow turbo
hey guys.. im trying to understand this thing called High Flowing your turbo.
wats this mean??? ive heard u can take stock turbo and high flow to give u better performance...??? any info would b good... thanks.

removing metal by means of a die grinder / your teeth etc to give a better flowing path on the inlet and exhaust housings of your turbo

High flowing a turbo can also include lathing out the standard compressor housing and fitting a larger compressor wheel.

ok.. so does this give me more power??/ is this something worth doing?
or should i just buy a bigger turbo? i mean wat is the cost over power ratio here??? thanks...

depends on the turbo.
If you have a td04. Then its probably not worth doing as you can get larger bolt on IHI VF Series turbos for pretty cheap. Say you had a modern td05 20g and you wanted more out of it. It may then be worth high flowing a turbo like this. Instead of buying a td06, you could possibly get it high flowed to fit a td06 compressor wheel or something like that.

ahhh ok.. so would be a good upgrade from my stock turbo??? keeping in mind i dont want to blow budget...
