AS much people harp on about tuners.. maybe cast a thought away from many people's one track mind and think about the drivers ability.

Tuned car + bad driver = bad times.

Stock car + good driver = maybe better times.

Tuned car + good driver = "decimate all" - Fast and Furious quote

Tuners help, but at the end of the day its the driver.

Blaises MR was tuned by Sean at Speedworks and now at ASG.

Aaron started it - Sean finished it.

A poorly tuned car will go BANG at the track - nothing places more stress on the car than sustained load at the track - no point being quick for one lap then towing the car home - being quick lap after lap, day after day requires reliability first off - to quote Captain Slow - "to finish 1st, you must first finish".

Aaron started it but IMHO was not able to finish it to my satisfaction. Did a bit of the fine tuning myself re idle and boost etc, and let Sean do the actual AFR side. Car is very driveable on the street and puts out good linear power at the track. Also tune is conservative enough in my opinion to survive the rigours of track work. I guess time will tell.

The PID is Proportional, Integral and Derivative gain. Is used for the boost control, idle control etc. Is some complex algorithym stuff. I am sure there are some propellor heads who can explain it. Is basically a way of getting the motec to perform in particular ways to ensure the set targets are hit. I have a useful PDF doc on it. Also try google. Heaps of info out there on it. Is a bit of a brain buster (well is for my commodore 64 brain) to get your head around but well woth the effort if you are into tweking your own tune.

all available @ asg now I think, sean/nick might have the PID and ver 3.3??

I will be heading there sometime for tune and updates...

On another note, my aircon doesnt work. I hit the button, the green light comes on but not aircon, ie the revs don't drop, the clutch isn't kicking in etc etc can't "feel" the load of the aircon....Is this an ecu thing? Is that where you would start? Since I have the TeC who fixes this type of stuff? Subaru or motec tuner?
