In all honesty, I think the Eagles should start looking at their own pool of talent in the WAFL....more chance of players staying with the team long term that way, because they are local and will stay, rather than coming from Victoria and wanting to go back there after a few years.

I would think Judd will be keen to go to a Melbourne based team that was in flag contention in the next 2 or so years. Why would you leave a successful team like West Coast, to go to bottom of the ladder Carlton?

I beleive Judd grew up as a Melbourne Demon's supporter, so maybe they might have the $$ to entice him over.

I would expect maybe essendon will be keen on offering him a contract, they have a bit of excess money with the departure of Sheedy and Hird, altho Hird's contract would have not counted towards the salary cap, and im not sure if coaches salary counts, but they will have the cash.

Now that he is out of contract do West Coast necesarilly get anything for him? I thought that they would only get something if they let him out of contract early?

If that is not the case send him to richmond in return for Coughlan and a pick or hawthorn for Franklin and a pick. Two good west aussie wesley boys!
