Not a drummer, but been playing guitar for 17 years... I could live without my STi, or any car - but I'd die without my axe...

Cheers
Zombee

Same as Zombee, been playing guitar for a while. Trying to teach myself to shred. Any of you drummers get a crazy double kick going?

I'll post up some details later but i've been playing for about 8 years.. I have a gig TONIGHT @ Metros Freo- filling in for the regular drummer. if anyone's out that way come have a squizz.
As I said, details and pics later but rough specs are: Ymaha Oak Custom limited edition kit (300 world-wide), selection of AAX and HHX cymbals (just look at Incubus's Jose Paillas' kit for pretty much my set up. he's magic). I would trade my rex 5 times over for my drums. It's in my blood.
Rough video here:

Yeah Jame, I used to be a professional drummer/ percussionist and teacher!!! Been playing all kinds of instruments ever since I was a kid- very musical family.

Particularly beneficial while studying at Uni! Played with several bands around Perth ranging from rock, funk through to Latin and Jazz (Dr.Bogus in early days, Soothe, Nightmoves etc) also did a few adverts (like the old Lotto adds with Leah Haywood doing vocals- before she tried to make it 'big' on the pop charts, LOL!!).
Also played throughout asia with some big names in the world music scene like Hossam Ramsey (Peter Gabriel), Ziggy Diagne (Yossou N'Dour) as well as a few Jazz gigs with Tommy Emanuel, James Morrison! Near the end was working at Mega Music in drum department.

Had some great experiences, but haven't picked up the sticks for 2-3 years now. My brother and sister are still well known musos round town though... Will definately get back into it once married and when I move into a bigger space.

Couldnt agree more. Dont know what was going on with the golf gloves though. Was far more casual than I thought it would have been. T-shirt / shorts / thongs ftw. I wore a proper shirt and jeans etc and was rather warm.
