Thought I would post on here in case there are any members who might be interested in getting a start in mining as Field Assistant. Following is advert I have just posted on Seek and dtworkforce web sites so PM if interested.

Exploration Field Technicians required for our blue chip client. These jobs will involve working in the Perth office and field work in the Pilbara as well for up to 3 weeks at a time.
The purpose of these roles is to provide technical, logistical and field superintendent.
Responsibilities:
• Deploying, setting up and maintaining field camps
• Carry out various field related tasks to assist in the effective running of field programs
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to the required standards
• Transportation of equipment and/or people
• Carry out general warehouse duties
• Comply with HSEC standards in relation to the role
• Forklift, vehicle mounted crane and truck operations

Qualifications and Licences:
• Basic numeric and literacy skills.
• A Certificate III in Mining Exploration would be advantageous but not essential
• ‘C’ Class licence essential
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role and relevant skills such as forklift, dogman, vehicle mounted crane, truck operations and first aid would be highly regarded. A clear understanding of the importance of HSEC. Work well autonomously and in a small team environment. These are contract position with a view to permanency for the right persons.
