Online MBA means all your lecture slides are accessed online, and you have your topic discussions on a forum (which suits me just fine ). You actually get a percentage of your grade for your forum participation. The forum moderator is the head of the unit, which is normally a professor. The rest of the grades are made up of assignments, with no exams.

Hmm thats an interesting way to go, but i wonder if it gets recognised the same???

As I suspected. So even though the online MBA of Curtin's might compare well to other online MBA's, that means very little unless you compare it to all MBA's....

At the end of the day, your employer ain't gonna give a shit if yours is the best online one when its crap compared to regular MBA's, so its worthless comparing it to only online MBA's.

You get the same certificate at the end of it and the same qualification (its called Masters of Business Administration either way, they don't specify whether you did it online or not), so yes its comparable.

It's no easier than the regular one, in fact, some say its harder as you need to take more initiative to get your shit done properly!

I thought you ended up with the same piece of paper regardless of your study mode. So if you complete the units full time/part time on campus or online, that is just the study mode you have taken to attain the MBA.

Yeah and you also get the same peice of paper if you do a Commerce degree at ECU as you might at say Oxford.

What I'm talking about is the reputation that comes with the MBA. Your employer won't care if you did it online or not, so the Curtin MBA might be ranked highly for an online MBA, but if compared to ALL MBA's its still shite, then that ranking is worthless.

And in reality, thats what matters.

If I believe the information on the internets... Curtin was ranked no. 80 in the world and the only Australian uni to rank higher was Monash at 43.
