The problem is the GPS unit in the iPhone is shit.

7/10 it's always behind where you are or somewhere 2 streets over on the map.

Seriously, how much map data do you use to go over your 3G data cap or do you sit there furiously refreshing forums on your phone?

I'm on 300MB cap and never even get close.

very true, i have 1gb a month data. Last month i managed to use ~200mb, and thats with data use everyday. vpn connections, mail, safari, rdp, ssh.
