Are they not free tastings!? I could have a beer fest at the pub or bottle-o then.

I read on the net the beer tasting tickets "Start" from $1. Its odean't say how much the taste is or that if it starts at $1 what it goes to.

Yeah the freo one a few years ago was a great day - the tastings were free there.
Probably go to this one too, just to do something that weekend...but hoping the $1 tastings are big..otherwise it will be $25 entry + $50+ for tastings...=same price as a carton of imported beer.

Hi,
Just so you know, the cost of entry was so high that no real ale small producers will be at the show. If you don't know what Tooheys Extra Dry tastes like though, by all means head along! Cheers, Nik

If you're really keen on your beer, and don't feel like going to Germany for Oktoberfest then I would highly recommend South Australias Schützenfest. Technically an old German shooting festival, effectively a weekend of shitloads of monster beers cheap as chips.

we've been advertising this for a while now @ our work (I work @ The Beer Store).. and has got a fair amount of interest going.
Personally - it'd be a decent day out - a full day out of talkin beers and trying stuff for $25 isnt bad - and would be a good starter for a sat night out. I wouldn't expect too much of a range - as mentioned previously alot of the imported stuff would be too dear for tastings.. and normally the 'really' good stuff is brought in, with such small supply they wouldnt promote/do tastings for it.
