Pffft...That's like saying a Porsche is just a Volkswagen. And hey, if they are 30k in ten years, I'll buy one!

I'd go a Porsche, or an Audi S5, or an M3, or a second hand Aston Martin.

Everyones different I guess.
pretty sure a 1999 r34 gtr is going for a bit more than 30k mate.

Have you seen the price difference between the regular model and the Spec V? Flipping daylight robbery it is! And all to shave 60KG of the weight and get a few trick bolt ons.

As an outside observer the R35 does absolutely nothing for me at all. I know that its mind bendingly fast but..but..but....meh.

Apologies Josh, but i didn't say 30k, I said 30-odd, which covers anything between 30 and 40k.

There are a couple of 98 GTR V-Specs on carsales advertised between 30 and 35k. One of them has just 25000klm on the clock.

The R34's arent much more expensive, with several on Carsales hovering around the 45k mark.

Thats pretty poor depreciation for a so called supercar in anyones terms, and I feel sorry for anyone who has mortgaged out the family home to get one.

Each to his own I guess.

I remember seeing something about the latest cars not having it at all because they got sick of retards showing off and breaking things and then kicking up a fuss when the ECU shows vehicle abuse.

I will be very interested to see how Nissan run their new car warranty on the things here.
I always thought that it is illegal here to force new car buyers to only use the manufacturer workshops however I know that in other countries Nissan has made it impossible to buy parts and will not offer support for cars bought outside the dealer network.

Personally I think those of you looking at saving up to buy one in 8-10 years time are mental!! These things appear to be genuine supercars with the running costs to go with them and I can well imagine Nissan's support for them dropping off once the handfull they sell move on to 2nd and 3rd owners.

???

A 10 year old mass produced car still worth more than 1/3 of its initial asking price...

That's pretty unreal actually.

Try the luxury brands like Merc and BMW's etc which drop nearly 50% in 3 years of ownership...
