is that POP is VERY quick (so quick detectors have trouble seeing it),
gives the officer an idea of your approx speed. If they think you are
going too fast they MUST use a normal signal to get a lock before
issuing the ticket.

In short, I have NEVER known a photo radar to use POP. By its very nature
a multanova radar signal is always on (that how it knows you're there)
and as such is detectable.

Anwer is simple. Carry some black spray paint and spray the lens if you
see one, then RUN (not back to your car). I bet the guys in the
van could never catch me. Plus they are not allowed to leave their
vehicle unattented.
thx fobz , what i thought too. oh well as long as its still all on ka , just bike users that are affected a bit really. Interested to know if the bin case would shield the signal or magnify it tho.

Yes there is... However you will charged under the telecomunications
act for an unlicensed high-powered transmitter. Fine can be upwards
of $10000 You need HUGE amounts of power, like radio stations.

There was a guy (as urban legend has it) who had a mini that had a very
large radar transmitter fixed to the front. He simply drove around
with it and fried quite a few speed camera's. Basically if you transmit
on the same frequency with MASSIVE amounts of power you can
kill the sensitive circuit on the speed camera. Hey presto, no fine,
and a dead camera. Needless to say he got caught. Ouch !
