When i bought this car, the finance through the dealership was 4-5% cheaper than the banks/RAC/Stratton and the various others I spoke to.
Think I got my finance at 8.9% in the end - all the others i spoke to were over 13% up to about 15%. But i think the rates your offered would depend on your credit status etc... and i've only been in the country for 2 years at the time, and was on a temporary (2 year spousal) visa.

Almost sounds like there is no early exit clause and they are going to hit you with the total interest for the term of the loan............

So I drove into the city at lunch time to hit the guy up about my contract or lack thereof... I never received a copy nor did I have a copy of my contract. (This is 100% my fault) but at the end of the day I have two different amounts and as far as I'm concerned I should be paying the lower one.. It even said in his system that I had a discount of around 5k!! Grrrr
Anyway, I'm probably screwed because I can't find my original contract!

Request it from TFS, they have to provide a copy to you within 21 days (and they can't charge you for it!)

If you get an unsecured PL via a Bank it will be a higher %, some people like this as you don't have to fuck around when you go to sell the car!!
If you do a secured loan via a bank the rate will be lower as the car is taken as security. cheers |

If it is TFS, give me your loan number or full name and cars rego. I will find it out for you fairly easily.

The best way to do that is to complain that they have taken advantage and by not providing copies of the loan contract have tried to hide it! I would first complain to the business manager and convey that you are going to make a formal complaint to TFS, then if you get no joy speak to his dealer principal.... if it is still unsatisfactory take it to TFS! If you want to know more you have my number!

Hey mate,
I've decided this has gone on too long and I'm going to lodge a formal complaint. Can you clarify what or who is the dealer principle?? Is that the equivalent of the branch manager?
