Toyota workshop NOR
Looking for a decent workshop NOR to service my wife's car. Due for its 100k service so I assume it is timing belt time. Car is an imported 2000 Estima with a 1MZFE (Camry V6). Any recommendations are appreciated.

Ewwww! $1100? On the 07 Hilux I did a complete service on mine with the help of Wildrx, all very basic shit. Cost me maybe $400 maximum. Only thing is the timing belt and tensioner that im not comfortable with but Tim can do that too......(ghastly mechanic he is )
As for workshops, im SOR so i only really know ones down here, Sorry GX-REX.

Cheers guys, as mentioned the car is my wifes car so it is difficult to take it too far from home as well as entertain 3 kids while it is serviced. Ideally would be someone mobile but think I might be out of luck on that one. I'd do it myself as I do with my own cars but 2 things stopping me.
1) Never done a timing belt on a FWD V6, let alone a DOHC in an east west engine bay. 2) Add to that the fact it is in a van... Pass. |

well to give you some confidence, i work for a honda dealership and we have same engine set up, its actually alot easier doing v6 cam belts rather then a 4cyl cam belt..
otherwise i have seen toyota dealership mobile mechanics |

The $1100 would mostly be swollen up in labour, if I remember correctly and yours is indeed a petrol, they need to have fuel pump changed. back seat out, carpet up. Same as the Kluger's requirments, apparently its a shit of a job... The parts are only about $147 trade if I'm correct... Plus it's also brake fluid flush, Plus normal service of course.. |
