Al check out the Jensen range, all have been quality from what I have heard, a few mates have them (indoor) and they pump. I got the outdoor speakers (came with house) and good enough for outdoors for sure, nice clear crisp sound.

What ever you do, DO NOT BUY BOSE. It's shit quality and you're paying top dollar. Stick to good speaker brands like JBL or Energy. Check out a decent home theatre store and they can steer you in the right direction.
Niles is tip top stuff. I have a set of in ceiling rear surround speakers and they're awesome! http://www.intellexual.net/bose.html A little info on Bose's product. |

I won't be buying Bose, I have had it in the past.....
Pleased you like the Niles stuff, had a listen this morning and didn't seem too bad, maybe a little bright but didn't play around too much with any bass settings. Will keep looking...... |

If its for outdoor, what is it covering?
Youll think im nuts, but Dick Smith do a in house brand for 100 bucks, which sound pretty damn good. Small, white, come with all brackets, and a warranty. Depends on the size of the area your covering. As I no longer work for them, this is totally honest too mate.

I've heard some of the Boston Accoustics outdoor weather resistant speakers before and found them to be quite good. Although, these were the top of the range and may be out of your allocated budget. Maybe go audition some Boston gear as well.
