Man that sucks. Very sorry to hear Ramon.
I'd be getting a third party engineer to strip it down and write a report on the failure. That way you can be ready for a fight if shit gets dirty. I definately wouldn't be stripping it and sending it back to Nizpro. You have not cut any corners and you have employed these guys to build your car and make informed decisions for you. That was obviously too hard for them. If they refuse to accept any responsibility for the failure, then I'd be prepared to go legal on these arse clowns and make sure they pay for 100% of their fuckup! All the best. I hope it turns out for ya!

Im stunned to read all of this.
Gutted for you Ramon, there has been so much time and money invested here, for a result of nothing but pain. Not fair on you. Im even more shocked to see how its been played out from Simons end of things. Those guys do indeed know their shit, and know it well. But this is a monumental fuckup from them. Best of luck sir. You deserve a good and just ending.

I've kept up with this thread with a keeness like no other, so am shocked to see it go so pear shaped so soon.
What has baffled me is how Nizpro's attitude has changed so much from when the build started to where your at now, I cant understand how they have gone from caring and informative on one end of the scale (in the early days of the build) to couldnt give a shit down right rude. Regardless you deserve better, as Dan says stick it to em. hope its all fixed for good soon! |

thanks guys! its moments like these a few kind and helpful words make all the difference.
to be honest with you, its been quite an emotional rollercoaster. im going to try and put it out of my hair for now and deal it with another time. on saturday im catching up with a bit of a guru on all things I6 turbo engine and come up with a total new gameplan. ill start purchasing parts for the repair and try and make more rational choices and listen to my better judgement. ive tentatively purchased a MY04 GT Liberty to ease the publid transport shame! |

Ramon, I'm with Dan on this.
Find out where Nizpro stands first....if they say they'll fix, then get it in writing. If they don't want a bar of it, get an engineer to strip it. They blame the fuel system, but you blame the wastegate. Both cause a lean condition of course, so if you can prove the wastegate was faulty, I don't believe they can say a thing about the fuel system. |

I agree with Joe also ramon...
Get it in writing what Nizpro are willining to do then make your decision from there. I think the way ur email may have sounded by there response, that you were willinging to pay for it so they dont need to admit liability. Now that you have cooled down a little, see what they have to say and get it in writing. If they blame fuelling and you blame wastegate get a neutral party to inspect it and make an engineering decision. If they blame the fuelling u still may have a leg to stand on as they tuned the car. If they said in writing that they told you not to drive the car then this is there only get out of free card.. If not you may have something to go with.. I would definately get a lawyer involved...
