Just be careful with ebay Sandisk cards matt, they are MANY fakes out there and these days, you can buy a 4gb Extreme 3 card from a bricks and mortar shop for about $130.

Just some thoughts,

Darren

Not Ebay!

Or at least take it with a pinch of salt...if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Got ripped off by a dodgy seller with Sandisk cards...thankfully PayPal reimbursed me without any problems.

Plenty of folks have fake cards that work well enough....just if you can be bothered doing benchmark testing you may find slower write speeds with the dodgy ones. Depends if thats really a major factor for you.

Yep, most of the eBay stuff is completely fake...especially the Sandisk stuff.

Not a problem if you dont mind a fake card, because they work absolutely fine in most applications....but I wouldn't be trusting that stuff if I took photos for a living, etc.

I got Sandisk 2gig ultra IIs of stu at quality cameras for around $65 each.

Seemed like an ok deal, and he delivered them to me at work.

HT have :SanDisk Ultra II - Flash memory card - 4 GB for $109 so that seems like a winner.
My housemate bought a genuine looking 1gb Sandisk card from a genuine looking shop... in China when he was there last year, and it formats to 256 mb o_0

Ebay for sure has the best value around. Scandisk seems to be the best quality for CF cards. I Picked up a 2GB CF card for $40 came within 3 days and is still working a treat. Or you can go buy one from a camera shop or JB HIFI seem to have good deals.

not all cf cards are created equal - the faster ones will allow you to take more photos per min. If thats important
