4.11 WRX was never sold on the Aus market, JDM only.
Up to 1996 all Aussie Subaru WRX and Liberty were 3.9 (3.54 rear) as were 1996 on manual GC8 (non STi)

Daren - went for a drive after dinner on Fri nite and the car started to make whining noises when not under load. so i took her to work this morning and put her in the air, could hear noises at the front of the rear diff. Drained the oil was black as ad had metal filings through it

will rebuild mine eventually but want the car back on the road ASAP

YAY, car is back on the road. finished putting the diff in ths morning and went for a drive at lunch!!

Mine makes a fairly faint whine noise under load in the mornings, not sure if im just being paranoid. Good to see you are back up and running timmy.
