Ah ok... I could be wrong!? Although I went to the Myaree shop!... I didn't ask Scott, just dropped the wheels off and got him to put the Rota's on... He didn't say who he was going to take them too!?

/ Sorry Jimmah for the hijack:
Russ/Forde man and James, please upload photos to either here, or a new thread, once you have the tyres back on. Russ, are you eluding to some curb scarring and whatnot in your post? As I have some on mine, and wasnt sure if it would be repairable. Brent. P.S - Whats diff between paint and powder? Which ones stronger and shizznit?

I cleaned up all the curbing on my rims myself. I had the tyres taken off and used a file and sandpapers. They cleaned up really well. I am just getting them to clean, prep for paint and paint.
I think 2 pack is harder and stronger. Not sure though. Will start a new thread on it when they are back. Sorry Jimmy for OT. |

Brent depending on the depth of the curb rash it can be either flattened out or repaired with a little putty (high build or otherwise 'which is also depth dependant').
Some reasons behind painting v powdercoating the main reason as to why people elect to paint: - its cheaper (this will be colour source and type dependant) - more colour choices the main reasons as to why people powdercoat: - powder paint will form a harder more durable coating and is more impact and abrasion resistant - the finish will be more consistent Side Note: 2pac paints are definitely not harder or stronger.

No worries guys... good discussion is good!
For what I was told, Scott reckoned it would be cheaper to powdercoat, which is why he was going to try for that with mine!? Personally, I've had both already and been happy with the results each time!

You can also get the lip machined down to get rid of curb damage.
Sorry for the OT Jimmy. Very nice car too BTW. |

OK... Ultraleggera's are powdercoated and back on the car... Dark gunmetal is quite close to black, but IMO looks awesome!! Much more aggressive, and suits the scoop a lot better now! Stoked!!
Just need the HSD's to roll up now(hopefully this week) and she'll be well on the way!! Pics to come later, when I get a chance!
