boost...

if something in the intake/boost department is not connected properly etc, the ecu will only boost to ~7psi, which is about half that of normal.

Do you have a check engine light or anything?

Was the service done by a workshop that know Subaru's in particular or a general workshop?
Did you mention the lack of power?

hmm seems that way but no I dont have a gauge to check.
the light does come on, so I'm guessing try get a code reading??

nah it was done by a mechanic who works from home. I thought lack of power was just the car needing a service like my oil change and new filter change so no, I have now noticed it as a problem instead of a need of a service.

No not at all, happened once when i first got it put on and since then hasn't happened. so nothing wrong with the exhaust, no holes etc....
