ok so the car is at MMS and despite all assurances by parts suppliers that the turbo and inlet is a "bolt on" it is all finally on.

The only part so far that has bolted up without cutting, grinding, moving something else, fabricating a part or modifying another part so it fits is the headers!

So after much swearing and skinned fingers I spent most of Sunday at MMS completing the install of the Turbo and inlet manifold.

To put it in perspective I can change a turbo on around 1.5 hours by myself in a workshop. I spent 4 hours yesterday just installing the turbo and inlet - both came on and off about 10 times to be adjusted etc.

So the upshot is that the guys can now fit up the process west TMIC and put the car back together. Hopefully today the "correct" fuel pump arrives and can be fitted and the car can finally go on the Dyno.

The tuning schedule is no doubt all over the shop with MMS having sustained power outages yesterday so fingers crossed it will all come together in the coming days.

Great work Shane, will cross fingers you get the Lib on the dyno today

Jimmy S 11-06-2012 01:39 PM

Great work Shano!

Can't say I'm surprised about the fitment issues though!... ;)

American Dave 11-06-2012 01:55 PM

trying to mod a Gen IV Lib....now who would be silly enough to attempt that ?

GTB Liberty 11-06-2012 02:07 PM

Thinking the chances of it being me is rapidly dissipating . . .

Good work though Shane and fingers crossed that tuning goes well for you over the next days.
