Yep, pretty sure it's the stock one it had. Was an auto so they threw in a 93 gearbox (ratio 4.11)... Have to check the viscous coupling tonight...

Will research how to double check the ratios.

Btw, the code on the side of the gearbox says its a 93 gearbox with 4.11

I would not rely on the code on the box
As it could be an internal gear transplant job
You don't want to go through the mismatch gear and ratio again if you can avoid it

drop the oil in the gear box & check the tooth count on the front crown wheel

Ok update time!

Just for anyone thinking of doing this... The double pin mechanism that holds the gear shift knuckle onto the gearbox... That thing is a fucking cunt to get off!

Finally got the back casing off, was kinda hoping the viscous coupling was shattered after all this effort but it wasn't...

In fact it looked really good... Fuck. Pulled it apart and seen it wasn't so great. See pics below. It has really heated up and done some major damage.

All put back together (the gearbox and casing) and called it a night.

Tomorrow diff and drive train.

Update time.

First off, my wife was holding it so I could take a pic. Thanks, not a tranny.

Second, I'm sure that if they are browsing a forum intended for wrx owners presumably they are over the age if 16 so they could probably handle more swearing than I could. Also, if you want to get really insistent how about having a look around the threads and tell me what my wife should have to deal with about tits, arse, Perth-wrx members fascination with anal sex and every other things that portrays women like a piece of meat. Thirdly, no thanks, just got this one back in...

So onto the update. Centre diff back in, filled up. Back diff in and drivetrain put back on. Just have the two drive arms to reattach, reattach the rear linkages, exhaust, intercooler and she is ready to go... Will finish tonight.
