This is my motto! Wrx is a great base car. Keep throwing pads and tyres at it till something breaks!

The car is an absolute weapon complimented by the freakish skill of the driver
It consistently blows cars away that are of a much higher spec and in most cases have more grunt Awesome machine should hold the title of the ultimate sleeper |

Great car and excellent driver! Thanks for sharing Jamie!
For those that don't know Jamie is usually about 10-15 seconds quicker than me over a 3min race at rac sprint series!

I didn't think GC8 ECU's could be reflashed/tuned? If this has an Ecutek, then is it that certain models of GC8's can be reflashed?

The deal at the time was that the 2 local Ecutek agents, Race Torque and Maximums pay a licensing fee to MRT to acess each series of ECU's. They both purchased the rights to open 01 onwards ECU's but they both didn't think there was a big enough market in Perth to pay the fee that MRT wanted for them to access MY99-00 and both the tuners at Race Torque and MMS at the time had a preference for Autronics anyway. MRT used to regularly come over for tuning trips so it was flashed under their Ecutek license.

Nice driveway thread JME. I mean Jamie.
Your V6 has got to be one of the ultimate daily/track cars. As you say: fresh fluids, pads and tyres and it just keeps going. I mean, the hi-strung EVO had problems before you even got it to Targa... it's an expensive thing to run on a regular basis, whereas the V6 is not so much. It really shows that for a lot of club-level events, you don't need a 400hpATW racecar to be up the top of the field; a good driver in a well set-up car can do it. And this is one weapon of a car. And driver.
