Help understanding alignment print out
I got a wheel alignment yesterday and aside from half the perimeters being left blank there is something that concerns me with the rear camber.
When I went down there to tell them first they said the rear isn't adjustable (despite the print out showing different before and after) but I put the coilovers in myself and told them beforehand they have slots in the struts for camber adjustment which may not have been passed on to the guy doing it. Anyway I read the rear camber angels as 1.25 degrees and 0.54 degrees but the guy at the shop just kept repeating that it's not degrees and saying it's seconds which I find confusing, he was trying to convince me that the rear camber angels are nearly the same. Here they are as written on the print out. Rear Left -1°24' Rear Right -0°54' I've searched Google for an explanation of camber seconds but haven't found anything, can anyone explain how it's calculated and possibly convert it to a understandable format like a decimal format? Cheers. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

There are supposedly six seconds, or increments of adjustment between each degree.
0 - 0.59 seconds is 1 degree of adjustment from vertical if that's your starting point. 1 - 1.59 is your second degree of adjustment. 2 - 2.59 is your second degree of adjustment. That is how it was explained to me anyhow. So your rear camber is pretty close at -0.54/-1.24, approximately half a degree out but not adjustable as you've been told. Adjusting the toe in/out will affect the rear camber a little.

The rears have adjustments, I think they just didn't know how to adjust it.
So with the way you explained it they are about half a degree different, I'll take it back and tell them how. The 2 bolts on the bottom of the struts have a slot on the top hole instead of a eccentric bolt on the bottom like most standard suspension. Just noticed your car is an older vinatge, I am used to mine which is not adjustable at the rears. John normally works in Perth bra!
