Default Engine temp falls on highway/freeway

Hey guys, just a little concerned about my engine temperatures when my '95 wrx is moving at speed on cool weather. On the freeway or any main road, the temperature needle barley rises above "C". In traffic, it stays in the middle which is where it's meant to be but once I hit the freeway, it drops down. It's not as bad in higher temperatures, like over 20 degrees but in the morning the car is pretty much "cold" all the way to uni. Just wondering if this is anything to worry about. Cheers.

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open.

That might explain other cold start issues. Easy to replace?

Yes very straight forward to replace. Cheap DIY job if you are keen.
