Default Innovate LM-2 help...Laptop running Win XP required

Stumbled across a small issue with my Innovate LM-2 wideband.

Following Innovate instructions have attempted to conduct a firmware update via laptop to the LM-2 device. Firmware failure...It has also rendered the unit useless as it no longer loads past the flash screen.

Doing some digging and have found that the innovate software is not supported past Win XP. As my laptop and every other PC in the place is Win 7...more fail. Even Windows don't support XP anymore.

So, Am seeking someone willing to assist who may have a laptop running XP in an attempt to get this thing back to life.

I've downloaded the latest version of Logworks3 and it opens, however was in the process of the firmware update so have not confirmed if it functions. The LM-2 will connect to the PC, however nothing beyond that at this point.

Tried a Virtual Machine?
XP Mode on Windows 7 or Oracle Virtual Box.

Nope, wasn't aware of them.
Have tried compatibility mode on various settings without luck. No surprises there.

XP Mode says it requires Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate. I'm on Home Premium so may not work?

EDIT: Did the pre-check from the XP Mode install and bios on current laptop does not support hardware assisted visualization. Indications are it will not work.

Success!

Managed to sort this tonight. Fails using Win 7 on 64 bit machines.

However it has works on a Win 7 32 bit system.
Now running the latest (2012, lol) firmware.

Back in business.
